We are co-founders of upcycle focused company called Shakti Milan Nepal (SMN). A group of women in SMN produces beautiful bags from the waste of rice sack.

Ever-increasing gap of economy and ecology needs a balancing role to be played by every single individual. Realizing the threat of climate change and poverty, we felt women’s economic empowerment could be the best serving tool to the cause of economic prosperity and environmental protection.

Having 7 years of experience in upcycling and women empowerment, our every further step is diversification of related integration. So we chose to repurpose single used plastic bags by transforming them into the fabric with our traditional weaving skill.
