My name is Mriganka Saloni. I am 26 years old from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am a graduate of Fashion Technology (M. Design in Fashion Technology) from Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India. I graduated in 2018 as a gold medalist of my batch. I am interested in Trihut Art form also commonly known as Mithila Painting as I belong to Maithila Brahmin community where this art form is practiced by women and is implemented in day-to-day life. Through my innovative idea, I would like to enhance public knowledge of this art form, its production method, and techniques that use naturally extracted colors and canvas (walls of traditional and modern houses, hand-woven cotton, tusser silk, muslin, and pottery). Additionally, I would like to increase female entrepreneurial skills among the women of my community through this art form.
