As I am from traditional craftsman family, basically making metal statues, jewelry, and accessories based on lost wax casting and sheet metal work. We have been practicing passing knowledge from father to son basically on traditional field. It is a traditional system to transform and handover the skill and knowledge. In the way still the traditional Nepali (mainly Newar) art is surviving. First, improper way of handing over the skill and knowledge; second, unable to upgrade and up to date regarding the today’s context; third is we are unable to adapt the convenient way of educating people regarding art and design. It is very urgent to institutionalize those sectors and my concern to start with jewellery design.
