Dev Narayan Mandal

I am Dev Narayan Mandal, Founder-chairman of Mithila Wildlife Trust. I have been working towards conservation of natural resources and wildlife in Province No.-2 of Nepal since 2012 with support of local communities, stakeholders and CBOs.

I believe in community-based conservation, thus work with them for conservation of existing forest, restoration of barren forest land as natural forest and establish a promote wise use of the natural non-timber products collected from same forest. Converting collected raw materials to market derived crafts for financial benefits of the dependent communities will assure the sustainable conservation.

My idea is to establish a module for sustainable solution to the climate change through community interventions and assure sustainable development of the native communities at the same time by selling crafts to local, national and international markets.
